There is no drawing in SketchPilot. You walk the house the way you already measure one: stand at your corner, type the feet, tap the arrow, and the house draws itself on graph paper as you go. Floors, garages and patios each close as their own shape. When you finish, the living area, the breakdown the new URAR wants, the ANSI check and the sketch exhibit are done, and they go with your report into TOTAL or Appraise-It Pro.
How do I sketch a house?
- Start at your corner. Open the inspection and tap Start sketch on the SketchPilot card.
- Walk the house. Type the feet, then tap the arrow for the direction you are walking. Back at your corner, tap Close shape and name it First Floor.
- Add the garage, the patios and the next floor. Tap the house wall where the next shape starts and walk it. When it starts and ends on a house wall, Close along First Floor wall closes it for you. Tap Rooms to put the room names on the exhibit.
- Finish and save. The summary shows Total Living Area, Finished Above Grade and the rest of the breakdown, County vs. Measured when the county's figures are on file, and the ANSI check. Print Exhibit is your sketch page. Save, then export to TOTAL or Appraise-It Pro like always, and the sketch goes with it.
Does the garage come out of the living area?
It depends on where you drew it. A garage inside the footprint comes out of the living area. A garage walked beside the house is listed on its own.
What if I already have the county's sketch?
On the inspection page, under the SketchPilot card, tap Upload county sketch (PDF). The county's footprint shows up in teal before you walk. Teal means the county drew it: verify every wall with your tape, and the teal goes away the moment you touch a wall.
It reads Clark County sheets today and learns other counties as their sheets come in. If it cannot read yours yet, it says so, and you walk the house the regular way.
Can I fix a sketch later?
Yes. Open the inspection and SketchPilot loads your saved sketch. Tap a shape to edit its walls, copy it or delete it, then Finish and Save, and export again.
Everything AppraisalPilot drafts is for you to review and approve. The measurements are yours.
